Slim Line Bee card

Hello all..I'm here with a slimline card for you using Lost Coast stamps

Stamps Used:

I stared off making the the squares for the card. I used 2 yellow distress sprays to color the paper then I used a brown to add the spots.

I then stamped the Large chicken wire background with  the same brown all over the square. I didn't ink it all over so there are some spots that a not there.
Next I cut it in to 1 and 2 inch squares. When I had them all cut I stamped the bee from the Bugz Set with black ink on different parts of the 1 and 2 inch squares. I set that aside to work on my card base.

I used Kraft cardstock and that same brown distress ink and stamped the Large chicken wire background for the background of my card. As you can see I have a black strip of cardstock on my card because I didn't get the stamp lined up perfectly.
I then arranges the squares how I wanted them on the front and glued them into place. Lastly I stamped the bee definition on the bottom corner.

I hope you will join us with the challenge here.

Save the trees

I'm here with a card for you. The challenge is not to use paper from trees for your stamping.

Stamps Used:
Okay this challenge stumped me I must say. I started out it a totally different direction. I ended tossing it in the trash.
Then remembered that Yupo paper is plastic. There we go.
I used my alcohol inks on the Yupo to make a background. Next I took my stamps and stamped them with archival ink and heat set them. Take a stencil and some alcohol and a sponge and sponge it through. You can use lift ink for that also. To give it another layer.
Then I added a saying and layered it on a black card base.

I hope you try this challenging challenge here.

under the sea

Hello all. I have a under the sea card for you.
I used:
I started off making the background. I used blues and purple and black distress spray. I sprayed them on a craft mat and smooched mix media cardstock into it. Dry the repeat till you are happy with your background. Set aside.
Next I used a bubble die to use as a layer for my under the sea card in blue cardstock. When my background was dry I then took a bubble stencil and layered that on with distress oxide ink in blue, after that I glued the bubble stencil on top. Set aside to dry with something heavy on top to hold it down.

I then stamped seahorse with rider on a scrap piece of white cardstock and colored with copic markers. I added gold in for the horse's reins and some white highlights. I then glued that in place and that is my card.

I hope you will join in the challenge here.

Under the sea challenge

Good morning. Over at the Lost Coast blog there is a new challenge. Under the sea. Here is what I made for the start of it.

I used different colors of blue distress spray to make the background. Then I took a Taylor Expressions stencil. I used the new distress color for it. You can kind of see them.

My anchor fish is a new stamp from Lost Coast. I tried the eroded metal that Tim Holtz has shown in his demos. I also did one other technique I saw him do was stamp and then paint then stamp again in archival ink. Did that on the fish to with the new color in distress.
