Where's my hat challenge.

 Hello, there is a new challenge over at The Lost Coast blog. Where is my hat? This is my card for the start of the challenge. 

But of course, who could where a hat better than the Joker. 

New challenge and New Year

 Hello happy 2024. There is a new challenge and a new way we are going to do challenges over at the Lost Coast Designs blog. Instead of 2 challenges a month we are going to do 1 challenge a month. So, there will be more time to join in the fun. For the first challenge of the new year is Anything goes. It's a nice way to start it off. 

I made a postcard to start it off. I hope you join in the challenge here. 

Get well soon card

 Good morning today starts a new challenge over at The Male Room blog. Get well soon is the theme. 

I must say this was a struggle for me. I didn't know what to do for a male themed get-well card. I just went with an animal, plaid paper and a get-well banner. 

Fast and easy to make. I also did a throwback and used an eyelet. 

Stripes and/ or Dots challenge

Hello all, there is a new challenge starting over at The Male Room blog. It's stripes and / or dots challenge. 

 

I started off with making the background. I had a piece of cardstock leftover that had some numbers stenciled on it with green ink and then I added some blue and gray inks to it. 

Then I add some circles with a cap from a spray bottle in that same blue. Next, I took the distress oxide ink of the same blue and stamped out the dots up one side of the paper. After that I took a white gel pen and drew some circles and added dot to the inside and outside of the circles. 

I then die cut a circle and stamped the deer skull with a tie in black ink inside. Glued it to the front and that is my card.

Women challenge

 Lost Coast blog has a new challenge. It's women. Here is my card for the start of the challenge.

Slimline card

 Hello,I'm here with a slimline card for you using Lost Coast stamps.

Stamps used:

Brush strokes

number border

Coffee

Saying

I started out with some distress ink colors. I used ink splat stamp from Brush strokes and inked it up. Then I sprayed it with water and stamped. It made it have a watercolor effect. Clean off the stamp and move it, pick a different color and repeat the process.

Next, I stamped the number border on the bottom of the panel. Set aside. I stamped the old lady with the Coffee and colored it with the say colors I used to stamp the background. Cut her out and placed her on top of the number border.

I layered the panel on black cardstock. I then stamped Saying and cut out and layered that on black and added that to the top of the card. I mounted on a white card base.

 Hello all, today is August 1st. A start of a new month and that means new challenges.

Monochrome

 Hello all there is a new challenge over at The Male Room blog. Monochrome.

Stamps I used:

The man, dots and numbers are from Tim Holtz that I got at Joann's.

For the ink I used:

Graphite

Elements from Lavinia 

I started off by using a blank index card and smooching the ink on a craft mat to make the background. I did that a few times to get the background I wanted with the different layers of gray. I then stamped the circle from Pieces of calligraphy randomly over the index card and the card base. Edged the index card with the gray ink. Next, I glued the index card to the card base, and I stamped some dots and numbers over it. I then stamped the guy's head on a scrap piece of white cardstock and cut out and added that to the middle of the card.

Tag

 Hello all. I'm happy to announce I'm part of The male room blog design team. The challenge is Tag.

So, I started off with a #8 white tag. I used Distress Oxide sprays on the background. In iced spruce, rusty hinge and antique linen. Sprayed and dipped the tag to make the background and when there were areas that were not drying, I decided to get out my gold embossing power and cover the spots with it. 

Next, I grabbed a Dina Wakley and a aall& Create stamp and stamped them randomly over the background in brown and black ink. I then stamped the main image from Lost Coast designs on white cardstock and cut out.

I then grabbed some Tim Holtz ephemera bits and added it to the tag. I added some string and the main image to the bottom of the tag.
