Hobbies

A new challenge over on The Male Room blog. Hobbies.

Here is my card for it. I picked sailing.

I used blank Page Muse for the stamps and distress inks for the background.

I stamped the water with distress ink in blue. I didn't cover the whole stamp so there were some open areas. I then blended the whole card with the same blue ink.

Then I stamped the sailboat on white cardstock and layered it on black cardstock.
On the bottom of the card base I added some twine and made a little tie in it.

Add a tag challenge

There is a new challenge starting over at The Male Room blog. You have to add a tag to your make. Here is my card I made.

I stamped on the background card base, and I used a stencil with some distress oxide ink.

The tag part, I cut the top off one of the tags because it was too large for the card base. I cut the edges to make it back into a tag. I added some brown distress ink to make the background.

All the stamps I used are from Topflight stamps except the little tag I have sticking out from the bottom of the tag, that is from Blank Page Muse stamps.

Universe challenge

Good morning to you all. Today starts a new challenge over at The Male Room blog. Universe challenge. I decided to make some bookmarks.

I had so much fun making these I made 3. I stared off all of them in the same way, I stamped my image and then I put masking fluid on all of the images and let it dry. I did it this way because I did want to fussy cut out all 3 of the images to make masks.

This one is my favorite. I started out with 5 different colors of distress inks. A pink, blue, yellow, green and a purple. I added them too different parts of the background. I did the same for all 3 of the bookmarks.

I then added black distress ink to the bookmarks in the spaces that I didn't add any of the color. Next, I added some water drops to make layers.

After that I added some white splatter for the stars in my galaxy. I then took off the masking fluid and layered the bookmarks on white cardstock.

Under the sea

Goodmorning, there is a new challenge over at The Male Room blog today. Under the sea is the theme.

I started out with some blue watercolor that I already had on my table. I then took a circle stencil and a baby wipe and took some color away.

I then stamped the diver guy twice, once on the watercolor paper and once on white cardstock to color him with copic markers and cut him out.

Next step I did was stamp the fish the same way and colored and cut out also.

I turned it into a mini slimline card. I layered it on black and then a white card base. I stamped some sea grass on the bottom of the card.

I hope you join us over at The Male Room blog for this fun challenge.
