  Good afternoon, I'm here with a steampunk postcard using VLVS. 

Fun Folds challenge

 Today starts a new challenge for The Male Room blog. Fun folds. This is the card I came up with.

 I started out off with a full sheet of cardstock. I cut it on the diagonal.

 

Then I scored it to have 1 triangle on top and 1 triangle on the side. I then cut down a 4x6 pattern paper so it would be smaller than the card base. I did that to the front and inside the triangle. I took a strip of the pattern paper that I used for the front and added to the inside of the card.

There is a photo of the top folded down, I stamped some random text on the front. 

Here is one with the top up and the side triangle folded over. I have a steampunk guy I stamped and made into a tag for the focal image.

Stencil or Die challenge

 Hello all, today we have a new challenge of at The Male Room blog. You have to use a stencil or a die. For me I used both.

I started out with some black cardstock and a stencil from Tim Holtz. Also, some white ink. I used a sponged to add the ink through the stencil. To my surprise the white ink didn't fade back like most of them do. 

Then I grabbed a scrap of distress smooching I had done a while ago and had in my 'just in case' pile and added that to the front. I stamped the steampunk bug on white cardstock and cut out. I added that to the front of the card and Lasty I added some steampunk gears to the strip of distress cardstock I added so it would tie in together.

Vintage/Steampunk tag

 I'm here with a vintage/steampunk tag for you for Lost Coast Designs. 

Stamps Used:

Daisy Flourishes

Pieces of Calligraphy 

I made the tag with distress oxide sprays in browns. Then I stamped Daisy Flourishes in black ink in the middle of the tag. I then stamped Pieces of Calligraphy   in brown distress oxide ink randomly around it.

I then added some steampunk bits.

 Hello, all a new challenge started over at Lost Coast Blog. It's Steampunk/Vintage theme.

Under the sea challenge

 Good morning. Over at the Lost Coast blog there is a new challenge. Under the sea. Here is what I made for the start of it. 

I used different colors of blue distress spray to make the background. Then I took a Taylor Expressions stencil. I used the new distress color for it. You can kind of see them. 

My anchor fish is a new stamp from Lost Coast. I tried the eroded metal that Tim Holtz has shown in his demos. I also did one other technique I saw him do was stamp and then paint then stamp again in archival ink. Did that on the fish to with the new color in distress.

Watch & Scale card

Hello all. Over at Blank Page Muse is a fun challenge black, white and 1 color.

I came up with this card. Please come over to the blog here to see how you can make it.

 

Indulge you imagination

A card I made for the Color Play over at Blank Page Muse.

I started with some white cardstock and I painted it with Turquoise paint.

Next I took sliver paint and a sponge and sponged it on.

 Let the paints dry. This is how they came out.

I used this on my New Year's Party Crown so if you think you saw it before you did. I really like how the colors came out.

So I cut it down to fit on a A2 size card.

I took some sliver paint and put it on my craft mat and took ink blending sponge and the Chicken Wire Mesh stamp and inked it up and stamped it onto the panel in random spots.

With the left over ink I edged the panel

Next I took the Old Style Key with Wings and stamped around the edge with black ink.

 

For my main image I used Steampunk Airship Sail and Clocks and stamped it on white Copic friendly paper.

 I then cut it out and colored with a gray(sliver-ish) marker. I added sparkle to the sail. Then I added some sliver sparkle washi tape to the polls on the ship.

I added wings to the ship by cutting of the wings from Steampunk Pocket Watch with Wings. Added foam squares to the back and added to the middle.

Then I added a strip of sliver sparkle washi tape to the bottom and stamped a sentiment on a piece of scrap white cardstock and cut out an added it to the bottom card on top of the washi tape.

Put it on a black card base.

Black cardstock

Turquoise paint

Sliver paint

Copic marker

Sliver sparkle washi tape

4x4 Steampunk Tile

Hello all. Cathy here with a 4x4 Steampunk Art Tile.

So I went and grabbed 1 of my 4x4 Art tiles. I felt like using my Distress Oxide inks. I thought what colors have I not played with? Brown. So I grabbed the browns. Walnut stain, vintage photo and antique linen.

I did the smooching technique with the inks and a craft mat. When I was happy with the background I moved on to adding my stencil.

Next I stamped the bird on bike with black ink. Then I added some gears to the wheels of the bike. Stamped the Steampunk word from Carmen's Veranda. Then I cut the word in half. Edged the word and 4x4 tile with vintage photo. Glued word and gears on top and done....

Stenciled Background

For this months challenge over at the portal is stenciled background.  What a fun choice for this month.
This is one of my idea that I did for this one.
