Forest God Card

Hello, I'm here with a card for you today using Lost Coast stamps.

Stamps Used:

I started out with some watercolor paper. I stamped Forest God Square in the middle of the paper and I did try to heat emboss it with black embossing power but I was to slow, so only some of it got embossed.
I then stamped randomly a stamp from the Pieces of Calligraphy around the Forest God Square.
To color it in I used the new Tim Holtz watercolor pencils. It was my first time using them. The are fun to use and easy. I just colored the paper and used a water brush to blend the colors.
Mounted it on some orange cardstock because I splattered some orange in the background. Added some white highlights around the Forest God Square stamp and last I added it to a black card base.

Blank Page Muse Spring stamp release Blog Hop

Hello all I'm happy to share with you new stamps from Blank Page Muse.  They have new stamps that are from Pam Bray. Wait to you see what I and my fellow DT have made for you.
Check out Blank Page Muse blog for the start of this blog hop.

Don't forget to comment on each blog for a chance of free stamps. FREE. I mean who doesn't like free.
For this card I let the flower take center stage. I smooched some Distress ink on my craft mat. Added some water to them to make a watercolor and then I stamped the flower with black ink and embossed it. Added some sequence and a saying .

For this card I used a background paper I made with Dylusions spays and shaving cream. I made me think of Alice falling down the rabbit hole with it swirls in it. Stamped the 2 different swirls with black ink all over. Stamped Alice and color her then cut out. Stamp saying(shhhh that is from another set you will see later) Edge with whole card with black ink.

Snow Queens, Giftcard bags and Paris Postcard oh my!

Hello all I'm all over today. I have a few different things to share with you.
Items Used:
Snow Queens
Wonderful Watercolors
Dear Santa
Christmas Magic
Paris Flea Market digital stamps
Fashion Forms
Winter is coming
Scripted
For this one I made a Artist Trading Coin. I used winter is coming as the base Then I added Snow Queen to the center. I then used Scripted  ATC and changed it to blue writing and erased some parts of it to look grungy. Added some snow and the title Snow Queen and done.

This one is my Paris postcard. I used the Wonderful Watercolors for the background and I used
Paris Flea Market digital stamps Fashion Forms. Then I added some ink drops from the top add to the inky-ness of the postcard.

I made some gift card bags. I used Christmas Magic for all of them. I started out by added a image to the front of the bags and gluing them down. Then I added some washi tape to them. They are small bags to you don't have to add a lot.

Next I made these tag toppers. I got the idea From Tim Holtz when he was showing his Christmas Hacks. I then went through the other images on the Christmas Magic sheets and punched out images that went with the image I glued on the front of the bag.  I made 3 bags all the same way.

For this one I added some die cut snowflakes because I didn't have any washi tape to match the image I had on the front.

This is the backs of all 3 of the tags I did. I used Dear Santa  to just add a little bit more to the tag then just white paper.

I hope you enjoyed what I have made for you. Don't forget to check every day on the Gecko Galz blog for a new idea from a different DT.

Sunny Beach tag

Hello all. It is almost Summer here. The weather is already in the 80s to 90s so Mother Nature is saying Go To The Beach.
Guess what that is what the theme for the new challenge over at Blank Page muse blog is for this month. Let's go to the Beach.
 Stamped used:
Mountains and Beach set.
Flamingo row of dancing flamingos
Embossing Power:
Ancient Amber
Other supplies used:
#10 tag
Watercolor
Copic Markers
Distress ink
Glossy accents
ribbon and charm.

I started out with the tag and stamped the beach house(stand) on the tag. Then I colored it in with Copic markers. Next I grabbed a scrap piece of paper and stamped it again and cut out to make a mask of it.
Added the mask to the tag and stamped the palm tree from that set behind the house. Then I colord the tree with copic markers.
Next I took the Ancient Amber embossing power and added it to the bottom of the tag. I think it looks like sand.
Then I took a blue watercolor and colored the whole background of the tag. I set that aside to dry. As that was drying I stamped the row of flamingos on a pink sheet of paper. I cut one out. As I was cutting it out the leg came off so now it is a sitting flamingo.

I stamped the seagull and the sun from the beaches and mountains stamp set . Colored in with Copic markers and added glossy accents to the sun

I added the Hawaii travel poster to the tag and the Sunny Days word stamp from the set.
Last I added a ribbon and charm to the top of the tag. I say the tag is beach ready would you?

Kitty behind the curtain

Hello all in blog land. I'm here with a card I made for Lost Coast Designs challenge. Stamped backgrounds is what it is called. You can check out some of the backgrounds here or here for your ATCs or here for some Carmen's Verandas backgrounds.

I started off with some watercolor paper and I took my Nuance powers and made them into a watercolor and painted a "sky"  background.  I set that aside to dry and I worked on the cat image. It is  Curtain Cat from KatzelKraft. Lost Coast Designs is carrying some.

I had it already stamped out and colored on a different piece of cardstock. I had stamped a saying and I smudged the ink on it so I couldn't use it for what I wanted but I didn't want to throw the card away. We all know what I'm talking about right.
Next I cut out the curtain cat and edged it with black marker so you don't see the white edge from cutting out. Added glossy accents to eyes because they need to be glossy. Set that aside to dry and then I went back to the watercolor sky.

So I grabbed my Flying Birds background stamp and stamped it on my watercolor sky background.
Then I adhered the curtain cat to the side of the card.

The I took a circle and painted it some of the Nuance powers to make a moon and attached to the top of the card.
All put together. I hope to see your creation with stamped backgrounds.

Black, White and 1 color

Hello all in blog land. I'm here with Blank Page Muse challenge for this month. What is the challenge you might ask? Well it is Black, White and one color.
I picked purple for my one color. My favorite color.

I started off with white cardstock to make the card base. Then I stamped Vintage Paper Pattern Distressed stamp randomly over the card front with black ink. Next I took a border stamp from Words by Jane Sentiments & Silhouette Images and stamped that randomly over the card front also with black ink. I set that aside so I work on the center part of the card.

I took a piece of scrap piece of watercolor paper and a purple watercolor crayon a colored the whole thing. Then I stamped vintage paper pattern distressed stamp on the edge of it with black ink. Next I stamped mannequin dress form with Versmark ink and embossed it with white embossing power. Then I layered it on black cardstock.
Then I added it to the front of the card.

As I was looking at it I felt it still needed something. So I had a keyhole that I made from a mold and I painted black.

Here is my card again to see it all together.

6x6 Flowers

There is a Facebook challenge group and it is called Artful Evidence. It's the first week and the first challenge is flowers.

This is what I came up with for it. I started out with watercolor paper and I grabbed my Nuance powders.  I dried that with my heat gun and set it aside. Next I grabbed my chicken mesh stamp and some purple distress ink and stamped it on the background. Next I stamped the large sunflower stamp and colored it with copic markers. Then I fussy cut them out and edged them with black marker so you don't see the white paper.
Then I grabbed one of these papers that I made from before.( Water and alcohol ink dip.) I used it for the grass and the stems. Last I added a Tim Holtz sentiment sticker.
