under the sea

Hello all. I have a under the sea card for you.
I used:
I started off making the background. I used blues and purple and black distress spray. I sprayed them on a craft mat and smooched mix media cardstock into it. Dry the repeat till you are happy with your background. Set aside.
Next I used a bubble die to use as a layer for my under the sea card in blue cardstock. When my background was dry I then took a bubble stencil and layered that on with distress oxide ink in blue, after that I glued the bubble stencil on top. Set aside to dry with something heavy on top to hold it down.

I then stamped seahorse with rider on a scrap piece of white cardstock and colored with copic markers. I added gold in for the horse's reins and some white highlights. I then glued that in place and that is my card.

I hope you will join in the challenge here.

Under the sea challenge

Good morning. Over at the Lost Coast blog there is a new challenge. Under the sea. Here is what I made for the start of it.

I used different colors of blue distress spray to make the background. Then I took a Taylor Expressions stencil. I used the new distress color for it. You can kind of see them.

My anchor fish is a new stamp from Lost Coast. I tried the eroded metal that Tim Holtz has shown in his demos. I also did one other technique I saw him do was stamp and then paint then stamp again in archival ink. Did that on the fish to with the new color in distress.

Mail Art

May the 4th be with you. I just had to say it. Anyway I have some mail art to share with you today for the challenge over at the Lost Coast blog

                                                      Stamps Used:

                                                     Pieces of calligraphy

                                                     Postage

                                                     Butterfly set

                                                    Grunge diamond background

                                                   Mail art

                                                   Door and window set

I made this first one with the left over gouache. I painted the envie and let it dry. I then went and picked out my stamps I wanted to use, When I the gouache was dry I painted the white address boxes and dried that. I then stamped Pieces of calligraphy  , Grunge diamond background , Butterfly set and Postage  randomly all over the envie in black ink. I took a fine tip black marker and drew lines around the address boxes.

For my second one I made I used distress spray inks and oxide for them. I have 2 pinks one of them is the oxide a orange and a yellow. Then I splattered some teal ink on it.
This one I stamped the   Door and window set over the address label. I had a mask on it. I used a pink oxide ink. Then I stamped   Grunge diamond backgroundMail art randomly in it.

I hope you will join the fun with this new challenge of mail art on the blog
